Steam Coffee & Cream

Front Door Steam Coffee

More than just a coffee shop—it's a cozy community hub where locals and visitors alike come to enjoy artisan beverages, sweet treats, and an inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for your next favorite coffee spot or a charming place to relax, Steam Coffee & Cream has something special to offer.

The Owners

Erica and Chris Williams are the owners of Steam (along with Candy & Chronicles next door) and have enjoyed watching their dream turn into a reality. While living in Chris’s native town of Atlanta, the couple met in 2014 and due to their combined love of coffee, immediately talked about owning their own coffee shop. Running Counter Culture in Atlanta taught them almost everything they needed to know about single origin beans, the process of harvesting beans from the coffee cherries, the difference in notes of the coffees from different countries, and many different types of brewing methods! In 2020, they brought this experience and skills back to the Upstate (Erica is originally from Simpsonville) and purchased Steam Coffee & Cream in Fountain Inn.

Living right in downtown, the Williams including their two young children, enjoy the small-town life, living, working, and playing in Fountain Inn. Williams says, “We love being able to walk or golf cart around town, to parks, the library, restaurants, and shows at the Younts Center. Owning a business anywhere has its challenges, but Fountain Inn has welcomed us with its support.”

“Main Street is a charming place to do business and has come so far with its growth even in the 4 short years we have been here. We can’t wait to continue to be a part of it and watch the town continue to grow while retaining its small-town appeal.”

The Vibe: Rustic Meets Modern Comfort

As you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming ambiance that strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern flair. Exposed brick walls, wooden accents, and industrial lighting create an inviting space perfect for everything from casual meetups to quiet work sessions. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafts through the air, instantly putting you at ease.

The shop isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about cultivating a space where people feel at home. Whether you're a longtime Fountain Inn resident or just passing through, the staff’s friendly demeanor ensures that every visit feels personal.

“We also love to play with different flavored lattes, offering different flavors for each season. One of our most popular specials which has gained quite the following is The Velveteen Squirrel - a latte with white mocha, caramel, and amaretto.” Can’t decide?
