What is Main Street Fountain Inn?
Main Street America is a nationally recognized technical assistance program that empowers communities as they revitalize their historic downtowns, encouraging economic development and historic preservation. The mission of Main Street Fountain Inn, a department of the City of Fountain Inn, is to preserve, manage, promote, and enhance the development of Fountain Inn’s historic downtown.
Downtown Fountain Inn became an aspiring South Carolina Main Street community in 2021. The goal of our program is to honor and preserve our historic community while strengthening the social and economic health of our downtown.

Design
focuses on enhancing the physical and visual assets that make our community the best place to live, work, and play.
Promotion
positions our downtown as the heart of our community as a hub for economic activity while creating a positive image that showcases our community's unique history and character.
Organization
involves creating a strong foundation for a sustainable revitalization effort, including cultivating partnerships, community involvement, and resources for the district.
Economic Vitality
focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators that drive local economies.
