A few times a year we are fortunate enough to get to share the Activity Center with our friends from Thrive Upstate. Most recently, the group from Thrive came over for a field day. Some of the activities that were played included cornhole, ring toss, giant connect-four, and inflatable bowling. Between games and dancing, lunch was provided and served by Senior Action volunteers for attendees.
Thrive Upstate is the largest provider of services to people with disabilities in Greenville County, aged birth through end of life. The organization provides resources and services, at low or no cost to their families, that empower people to lead independent lives and reach their full potential. From residential housing to day services, recipients of these services include people with intellectual related disabilities, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, developmental delays and people on the Autism spectrum.
Each attendee received a medal for participating in the day's activities! We look forward to hosting the next event for Thrive Upstate. For more information about Thrive Upstate, visit thrive.upstate.org.
