Historic Downtown Fountain Inn came alive on April 11, 2026, as thousands gathered to celebrate the 20th Annual Mac Arnold Cornbread & Collard Greens Blues Festival—a milestone year for one of the Upstate’s most beloved music and cultural events.
This year’s festival carried special meaning as the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame joined the celebration to honor Hall of Famer Mac Arnold with a special on-stage presentation recognizing both his extraordinary musical legacy and the festival’s 20-year impact on South Carolina’s arts and entertainment culture.
Inducted into the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame in 2023, Dr. Mac Arnold has spent decades sharing the rich traditions of blues music with audiences across the country while remaining deeply connected to his South Carolina roots. Through his passion, talent, and dedication, the festival has grown into a signature event that not only celebrates music, but also brings people together through food, culture, community, and the arts.
The City of Fountain Inn was also honored during the event in recognition of its partnership and continued support of the festival over the past two decades. What began as a local celebration has grown into a regional destination event that welcomes thousands of visitors to Fountain Inn each year, supporting local businesses, highlighting local talent, and showcasing the unique character of the community.
The festival featured live blues performances throughout the day, the popular Jeep Jam, artisan and food vendors, family-friendly activities, and a vibrant atmosphere throughout downtown Fountain Inn. Visitors enjoyed an authentic celebration of Southern culture while experiencing the energy and hospitality that define the City of Fountain Inn.
The City extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Mac Arnold for his vision and unwavering commitment to preserving and sharing blues music and culture with future generations. Fountain Inn is proud to continue supporting an event that has become such an important part of the community’s identity and cultural landscape.
