PD Golf Tournament Benefiting the Community for 25 Years

The Annual Police Department Golf Tournament took place last Friday, May 10th for the 25th year in a row. This tournament benefits many of the City of Fountain Inn's Police Department community programs such as the Citizen’s Police Academy, Youth Summer Camp, Neighborhood Watch Programs and so much more. The weather was a perfect 70 degrees during the shot-gun tee off at noon sharp. The 35 teams began with a light breakfast before heading onto the 18-hole Carolina Springs Golf Course. The tournament was organized and led by Special Services Division Police Sergeant Troy McBride.

Although there were no Hole-in-One Grand Prize winners of a gorgeous brand-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz C300 (along with some spending cash of $10,000) the weather stayed beautiful allowing everyone to have a great day on the course. With sponsors, donations and golf packages, the real winner of the tournament are the programs that will benefit from the kindness of those that participated.
