Superhero 5k
The 7th Annual Superhero 5K for Autism, hosted by Fountain Inn Police Department on April 18, 2026, brought the community together for a family-friendly walk/run focused on autism awareness and inclusion.
Participants of all ages joined the event, many dressed as superheroes, creating a fun and supportive atmosphere throughout the course. The 5K helped promote community engagement while celebrating individuals and families connected to autism support services.
Proceeds benefited Friends of the Little White House and their programs serving children and adults on the autism spectrum.

Hosted annually by Fountain Inn Police Department, the event reflects a continued commitment to building relationships within the community while supporting programs that provide education, life skills, job training, and personal development opportunities through Friends of the Little White House. Through community participation, sponsorships, and volunteer support, the Superhero 5K continues to promote acceptance, empowerment, and connection throughout Fountain Inn.
Impact
The Superhero 5K continues to grow each year through strong community support and participation. In 2025, the event welcomed 274 participants and raised more than $25,500 in support of Friends of the Little White House. The event was made possible through the efforts of 22 race-day volunteers, 10 planning volunteers, 12 sponsors, and numerous community partners who helped bring the event to life. Now entering its 7th year, the Superhero 5K remains one of Fountain Inn’s largest community-driven fundraising events supporting autism programs and services.

The Superhero 5K is made possible through the support of local sponsors and community partners who help fund programs for Friends of the Little White House. Sponsors are recognized through superhero-themed sponsorship levels, including Captain America, Batman, Spider-Man, and Flash sponsors, creating a fun way to celebrate community involvement while supporting autism awareness and inclusion throughout Fountain Inn.
